Introduction to Early Intervention


 

 

“Children can develop the potential and skills through early identification of his condition and find a suitable rehabilitation program for him.”

Early intervention is a set of services provided by government and private institutions. It services licensed by law to help the development and rehabilitation of children with special needs and their families until the age of three. The early intervention services are available in specialized center or at home or in hospitals. These services focus on two important and two Induction axis and diagnostic. The induction axis for what they offer the school and the hospital together to define the suffering child until the conversion process to the medical authorities for further action. The diagnostic axis are in a direct way by specialized medical personnel.

And early intervention begins at birth to kindergarten age. There are three main reasons for early intervention for children with special needs are working on: –

1. Strengthen the growth of the child.

2. Provide assistance and services to the families of these children.

3. Increase Circle of services provided by the child and his family to the community.

Studies have shown the stomach in the field of child development that the education rights and the growth rate in the most speed at pre-school age, which makes the process of early intervention is very important, where the child is fit to receive the services, which will help him to communicate with those around him. Sometimes overlooked people and those around the child about the importance of early intervention in pre-school age, which is hard on the child learn some skills in the later stages of age.

Early intervention and return benefits to the families of people with special needs by improving their ability to develop themselves and their children, as well as the development of capabilities and skills education for their children and create a suitable environment to work with the child and which ultimately helps to build product in the human society.

The members of the program consists of early intervention specialist Dr. hearing problems, and Ear Nose and Throat, pronunciation and communication specialist, specialist audiologist, a teacher of deaf children, and family.

The important points and should be available in early intervention program are: –

The early diagnosis of the deaf child will greatly help in the success of the early intervention program and to increase scientific collected later and to reduce the proportion of scientific and psychological problems that may be exposed to the child in the age subsequent stages.

2. Family involvement in the process of early intervention: –

Develop an educational plan helps the teacher to child development and follow-up on an ongoing basis.

Work tests for the child to know and determine the effectiveness of this program and the extent of child benefit from it.
